Sunknight Temple
Purpose / Function
The original purpose has been lost to time, the temple abandoned before the Holy Knight made it his primary place of residence. After Asteria Pridestone was brought in to be trained by the Demigod, the temple became their training grounds.
There are hints of it's purpose through ancient text etched in the inner walls, though few are able to translate. They roughly read:
"Blessed Suns and Sand, hear our beckoning and bare witness to your servants. Your destruction leaves ruin, your scorching rays strike through our hearts like kindled lances, yet we honour it. Burn and swallow the weak and give strength to those who persist."
Valuables
Aside from the gilded diamond-crested walls which would be a treasure of their own regard, there is only a single artifact kept within the great temple - the Fragment of Heaven, a replica of the Holy Knight's crimson gem in the centre of his chest. The Fragment is fitted into a specially-made pauldron of Hikarite, donned by Asteria Pridestone, and was used once in The Infernal Duel - a battle against Vantorus, Demigod of Fire.
Special Properties
The great temple is sturdier than it looks, its durability evident during the Sunknight Duel, to which it stood unscathed while two great powers fought in its range.
Architecture
This great temple is made of marble and white stone, adorned with gold and diamond.
History
Once an assumed place of worship for a long neglected deity. Sometime during the Origin Age, the Holy Knight discovered this great temple, abandoned and hauntingly isolated, and decided to stay in it for a while. Eventually, it became his primary place of residence. It was perfect for deep thought and meditation.
Near the beginning of Platinum Age, 1515, 13th day of Terebery, the great temple became the training grounds for Asteria Pridestone, who was taken in by the Holy Knight to grow strong. It was where she was gifted Holy magic and her thunder converted to sunder magic.
