Exotically Enhanced Matter
Exotically Enhanced (EE) Matter of all kinds is the crux for Terran civilization., and is divided into three types. Type I Matter includes materials of extreme hardness, tensile strength, or compressive strength; extreme insulation properties, and even hyper density. Type II Matter includes properties such as chemical inertion, negative mass, and super conduction. Type III Matter is matter enhanced with properties such as particle virtualization and localized quantum entanglement.
Manufacturing process
First a single 1-tonne sheet of material is suspended within the insulated chamber perpendicular to the magnet array. Next, the chamber is completely depressurized leaving a perfect vacuum. Then, an antimatter core with 1 E-Matter Nucleus is loaded inside its magnetic housing and then annihilated by blasting the nucleus with a single atom of hydrogen. The exotic fundamental particles created by this annihilation are then evenly distributed across the sheet of material, saturating it with a combination of particles determined by the type of nucleus that has been annihilated, and the quantity of them.
Significance
EE Matter is the cornerstone of Terran society and industry. Life as it is in Terran space would be drastically less glamorous without these substances.
EE Matter can be found quite commonly throughout most of Terran space. Type I is more common and less expensive than Type II.
The only two required components in the creation process of EE Matter is 1 tonne of ordinary matter needed for conversion and Exotic Antimatter. Anywhere from 1 to 100 nuclei of Exotic Antimatter are needed for the creation of Exotically Enhanced matter, depending on the type of matter being enhanced.
An exotic enhancement station is required for the creation of EE Matter. This station usually consists of a large room lined with dense material, such as gold or osmium, to absorb radiation: as well as an array of high-powered magnets around an Exotic Matter storage core.
