Clay

Claysen Cashe Hearthstone (a.k.a. Clay)

A child of the underground. His family long gone. He's ready to change his life through one simple, yet daunting task, through one insane leap of faith: joining an expedition crew to sail the Quiet Divide and see what's at the end of it. A suicide mission likely to fail like the others before it. But he's ready. It's his time to see glory, or see death.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Clay only had his father and his brother. His mother died shortly after giving birth due to insufficient home care. When he was only nine years old, his father died in a mining accident, and his brother died in a similar incident eight years later. He survived the second mining incident, and lived underground for a couple more years until he dug his way out and emerged in a field in Scanti. From there, he made his way across the continent until he came to Adecthelion and joined the Divide Expedition.

Male

Straight

Education

He gained a basic elementary and early secondary education before becoming cut off from the rest of the world for a few months. He gained little more education from the people of the surface that he met along his journey to Adecthelion. He does know a lot about the earth and it's functions, and that is his strong suit.

Employment

He was previously employed by a major mining company in the underground, but he was presumed dead and released.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Surviving underground in a closed tunnel for months, perhaps even years, is a major accomplishment, albeit one that is quite mysterious as to how he survived with barely any airflow, food, or water. This could be an indicator that Clay is extremely resourceful and resilient to insane extents.

Mental Trauma

He watched as his mother died, his father died, and his brother died one after the other in terrible accidents and unexplainable circumstances and coincidences. He is afraid of heights.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Exploration is a major motivator for Clay. After being stuck in the same mine, he would like to explore other places, whether that be above or below ground.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Mining, Fighting, Acrobatics/Athletics. He is weak in the general brains department, but he makes up for it in knowledge of weapons and earth.

Likes & Dislikes

He is majorly afraid of heights, and feels most comfortable underground.

Hygiene

Bathes when absolutely necessary, and almost nothing else. He is always covered in a layer of dirt or dust.

Social

Contacts & Relations

He is learning the names of the Divide Expedition.

Family Ties

His entire family is dead.

Social Aptitude

Extremely socially apt despite his extended isolation.

Wealth & Financial state
