Elder Evils

The Elder Evils are powerful, malevolent beings that represent the antitheses of the Divine Triad’s virtues. They are entities from beyond the known universe, embodying corruption, chaos, and darkness. Emerging from the Void, a plane of endless destruction and nihilism, the Elder Evils entered the universe when fractures appeared due to the Divine Triad’s struggles for control. Unlike the gods, who seek to create and sustain, the Elder Evils seek only to consume, twist, and unravel existence.   Each Elder Evil embodies a perversion of one aspect of the Divine Triad, introducing forces of decay, ruin, and corruption that threaten to undo the gods’ creations.

The Void

The Void is the plane from which the Elder Evils originate, a realm of absolute emptiness that embodies destruction and anti-life. Its energies consume the life force of any creature exposed to them, disintegrating material to dust and then to nothingness. Despite its emptiness, the Void is paradoxically full of dark, anti-life forces, from which the Elder Evils draw their immense power.

Influence on the Universe

When the Elder Evils entered the universe, they did so through tears created by the Divine Triad’s cosmic struggles. Their corruption affects the Weave itself, the magical fabric connecting all things, creating twisted zones where magic becomes dangerous and unpredictable. In these corrupted zones, natural ecosystems are devastated, and creatures become warped hybrids of their original forms and the influence of the Elder Evil. The mortals and angels tainted by the Elder Evils transform into Elder Spawn—hybrids of their former selves and the Elder Evil’s influence, spreading corruption wherever they go.
