Kord

Kord, God of Strength and Storms and greater deity in the Light Pantheon, is a dynamic deity embodying raw power, unbreakable resolve, and the fierce might of nature’s tempestuous forces. Known by many names, including The Thunderer, The Stormlord, and The Unyielding, Kord is the god who champions strength, bravery, and resilience. He serves as a source of inspiration to warriors and those who dare to test the limits of their physical and spiritual endurance.

Physical Description

Kord is often depicted as a towering, muscular figure with wild, windswept hair the color of dark clouds before a storm. His eyes crackle with the power of lightning, and his skin carries faint scars reminiscent of thunderbolts—marks of his countless battles and enduring resilience. He is clad in minimal armor, adorned instead with heavy bands of silver and iron around his wrists and shoulders, each inscribed with symbols of strength and storms. His presence is electrifying and commanding, exuding an aura that mirrors the energy and fury of a thunderstorm.

He wields a colossal warhammer called Thunderstrike, which channels the forces of both storm and strength. The weapon glows with a faint blue-white light, and each strike is said to echo like rolling thunder. Followers believe that when lightning flashes across the sky, it is a sign of Kord’s watchful gaze upon the world.

History

Kord was originally an angel created by Erathan, serving as one of the powerful celestial guardians. As an angel, Kord was a symbol of unbreakable resolve and fearsome might, often leading his kin in battles against forces that threatened the divine order. During the War of the Divine, when the gods clashed with the mortals of The Free Covenant, Kord fought valiantly on behalf of the Divine Triad, demonstrating his incredible strength and unwavering dedication.

Kord took part in many legendary battles against the mortal rebellion, often engaging in single combat with the mightiest warriors and champions of the Free Covenant. While he was relentless and fearsome, he developed a deep respect for those who fought courageously, even when faced with insurmountable odds. His respect for the warriors of the Covenant set him apart as a god who values strength and honor, regardless of allegiance.

Impressed by his resolve and martial prowess, Pholtus granted Kord the Rite of Rebirth. Accepting the rite, Kord underwent a transformation, taking on the mantle of the God of Strength and Storms. This transformation empowered him, granting him dominion over both physical strength and the natural fury of storms. He became a god who personifies resilience and the thrill of overcoming powerful challenges.
