Session 9

General Summary

• We get up in the early morning and get breakfast. 
• We inspect all the poultry that was assembled at Traiborns request: 
• We do not find Plucky 
• A farmer tells that his poultry disappeared during the night and that his sons went out to look for them at the edge of the forest.

Rayna leads the party into the forest
• The map has two landmarks before the Serpent tree:
• First landmark: a clearing 
• Second landmark: mud-pools 
• After a few minutes we encounter tracks of children and poultry heading deeper into the forest.
• The tracks lead in the same directions as we need to go. 
• We reach a clearing (the first landmark): 
• The boys are there with a bunch of chickens; there is also a giant rooster-like creature calling himself Octavius 
• This is a called an “August rooster”; it is not a beast; it is a hybrid created out of avian material 
• !!! PLUCKY IS THERE !!! 
• We decide to attack the creature and save the boys 
• We kill the creature 
• !!! ASHRYVER CAPTURES PLUCKY !!! 
• The kids go back to the village with Tom (who was wounded in the fight) and take Plucky with them.
• They will return him to his owner and tell the owner we will come later for the reward. 

We continue deeper into the forest in search of the mud-pools (north-east).

• We encounter a pike-pit but skilfully avoid any damage 
• We reach the mud-pools (the second landmark): 
• He who flutters collects a vial of the sucking mud. 
• Ashryver & Taiborn gather walking sticks 
• We encounter a cave with a soft cry for help from inside
• Ashryver sneaks in 
• There are sporous crabs inside 
• They usually have a master: a brachiura We try to save the captured fairy and combat ensues.
