Snapper
Snappers are the result of centuries of exposure to elements from the plane of water to ordinary chickens. When the climate changed, so did some of the poultry. Those that didn't adapt either died to the constantly changing elements and climate or later on got weeded out by their evolved members. The snappers grew scales, claws and even a rudimentary form of gills, making them highly suited for their new watery and harsh terrain.
If one knows how to peel away the scales and gut it properly, snapper meat isn't terrible. Just imagine chicken with a fishy flavour.
In any case, snappers are the common livestock in Tyrganon. They're strong, resilient and breed like mad. Only thing you gotta watch out for is their sharp claws and beak, these are no innocent birds any longer.
While a normal snapper should pose not threat to a trained handler or adventurer, it is known that wild snappers roam the coastlines and are said to grow to larger standards.
