Cold Mud Spa
"The Cold Mud Spa is clean, fresh and calm," said the Hadakin woman. "The installations are comfortable and well decorated with intricate and well made curtains, carpets and cushions. The food is delicious and you can be here as much as you want: we have rooms for you and all your friends."—The Laughing One
Purpose / Function
The Cold Mud Spa is a place of rest and relaxation. With masseuses, mud baths and other treatments, a tired traveler and their family will be reinvigorated before facing again the dry and hot climate of Emisha.
For the ones going south or east, it is the last friendly place before the cruel outskirts of Reiat Desert; for the ones going north, or west it is the perfect reward for crossing such perilous lands.
Architecture
The Spa is a mix of Emish'ali architecture and Hadakin decorations. It has angular shapes and flat roofs built with sandstone, just like most of the Emish'ali buildings; it also has small details here and there borrowed from many cultures, like arabesques, circular holes, geometric patterns and pillars.
History
It is said that a Hadakin caravan reached the city of Hish Naya and had contact with the strange habit of the locals of bathing in cold mud. They with time confirmed the good effects of that habit and ended up settling down and building the Cold Mud Spa.
