Lazani (Lah-zah-nee)

Like the Eternians, the Lazani have learned to channel their magic through objects. However, they have believed themselves to be aided further by the god Dharwyn and also believe that their magical affliction is connected to an ancient curse bestowed upon them by the gods. They have been atoning for their sins and remain connected to the earth. There is an ancient hatred between them and their northern cousins due to this curse, which the Lazani believe was orchestrated by the Eternians. The Lazani are the defectors who chose not to remain with the Eternians after the fall. The Lazani channel their magic into local enhancements, giving themselves greater physical and dexterous prowess through bangles, charms, anklets and even weaponry. They appreciate physicality and though they are not as strong as the Eternians, they are quicker and more adept with weaponry. The Lazani are more reclusive than the Eternian, mostly due to being cut off by all routes to the outside other than the seas. They do trade in the port located in their capital, but only with those willing to take such a long route south. Like the Eternians, the Lazani are very tall. They are much darker in skin, generally in medium-to-bronze tones. Their hair is darker, with blonds and light reds rarely seen. They generally have brown, dark red, black, and sometimes darker shades of unnatural colors. Their eyes are usually black, brown, and midnight blue, sometimes flecked with gold. They are slenderer than the Eternians.
