The Deep One - Heretic God of the Fish

The deity appears as an amalgamation of sea creature in the form of a humanoid, squid, or shark. He seeks one thing and one thing only, the spread of the deep to spread in all forms. The deep should spread as far across the lands as it belongs to the superior beings of the world. The deep should not be contained as a prison by the lands. They need to spread. For what else is more powerful than the creatures of the deep. Nothing.   Every sea creature was created as they fell off his body and fell into the sea as a new species of sea creature. They are viewed as his children, but are not loved. They all fight and consume each other to survive. As all things should.   His followers focus mainly on two things:   1. The spread of all oceans and seas across the continents.   2. Trying to become more ocean creature like as if it is the superior evolution.   The leaders of his faith are usually massive sea creatures (krakens, aboleths, etc...) or sea-like humanoids (sea hags, merits, sirens, etc...). If a creature of land would follow the deep one, they would live next to the shores of oceans to be as close as possible to their god.   Edicts  Indoctrinate people into The Deep One’s teachings, spend as much time near or in the ocean as physically possible, gift worldly possessions that no longer hold value to you to the sea, keep the ocean clean and safe   Anathema  Eat any other meat that does not come from the ocean, abandon the ocean entirely, engage in activities or professions that require dry land to be utilized, pollute or corrupt ocean waters   Follower Alignments NE, CE
