The Venom Lord - Heretic God of the Serpent
A Gargantuan snake-like creature with arms (3 digit hands). Its purple scales with black spikes on its back, elbow, and head. Its underbody and eyes are a light green. There are yellow gems found on its forehead and the back of its hands. When enraged, its back becomes enveloped in black smoke.
He believes in the idea of evolution. Evolving inferior races into something better for the sake of the universe. To create a perfect creature.
Or that is what he tells his followers. He does believe that creatures of reptilian blood and body (especially snakes) are the superior creature. But only because those creatures look like him (very egotistical). What he really believes is that all other species are a stain on the ecosystem and evolution. Therefore must either be fixed or exterminated.
However, he is not an idiot. He knows he can't make his idea a reality by himself. He needs followers. Acting like a virus to spread his influence.
There is one problem. And it is with his followers
Some of his followers are fanatic purifiers. Usually killing any creature different from them. Those types of followers are usually isolated from society and culture. Only able to grow their following by reproduction or by people willingly trying to find them, join them, and splice them into a more reptilian look. Even though these aren't all his followers, the known occurrences of travelers being slaughtered by these tribes if they get too close to their territory doesn't help their cause.
Other followers still have the same idea of evolving to a superior creature, but act in the idea of more to help improve themselves and others. Sure, more of their thoughts of improvements are more about the physical than psychological, but then mean to help more than anything else. These followers usually travel from city to city in groups of 5 to 10 to spread the word of their god. Trying to show their belief in a more...tasteful light.

Refuse to change your form or actions, allow harm to come to a reptile you could have reasonably stopped, reverse methods that change your body
