Faun

The Faun are a parahuman race that live in certain regions of Erdezwei. They're made distinct by their shorter than average stature, horned heads, their hooved, fur-covered legs, and their short, goatlike tails. If you look closely, you may also notice that their eyes are slightly more horizontally oval than those of the other races.


Faun are usually found in the mountainous regions of the world, building settlements on and around rock faces that other races wouldn't even consider a viable option. Their physiology allows them to scale, work, and even live on such sheer faces and reap the bounty found there.

The Denalii: Native to Kameria, and found mostly in the state of Wulfmont around Denalii Keep.
The Torridon: Native to the northern reaches of Albion.

Culture

Average technological level

Faun have often been the leaders of industry in their given homelands. Being able to work rock faces leads to them chiselling out caves and rooms to stay in, and this often leads to them finding mineral wealth that no other race would have even known was there. Which leads to finding use for these strange looking rock, which leads to smithing and a wealth of raw material to smith.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

In a number of Faun cultures, such as the Denalii, a pair of matching bells, each member of the pair wearing one around their neck, are used as a wedding band. The bells are forged in such a way that they both ring on the same frequency.
