Glasden
In 478 BE, a powerful being fell from the stars, landing in a field near the city of Glenmore in The Farren Empire. At the center of the crater, a shepherd, Glasdow, found a baby dragon with starry night-like scales and named him Rakshan. The shepherd tried to keep the dragon secret, but his 8 year old son spread word of the creature, leading to rumors of a god sent to replace the false idols of the pantheon.
The story reached Emperor Otrael, whose power depended on the people’s worship of the main pantheon. Furious at the idea of a new god, he sent a garrison to capture the beast, killing many in the process. Fearing for their lives, the shepherd and Rakshan's followers fled Glenmore by boat, pursued by Otrael's forces.
settling in a new land they called Glasden, after the shepherd who led them. There, they built villages and began worshiping Rakshan as their one true god, giving him the name Gil'osh, an elven word meaning, "Power without end."
In the year 400 BE, Glasden was thriving. With the power of Gil'osh, they had been able to quickly assemble many towns, each with a towering stone cathedral. The people of Glasden had also formed a governing body, the Council of Rings. The council comprised of 6 elders, and the Pope, all of whom wore personalized rings made of ore mined from the Lothal mountains and forged in dragon fire. 4 elders wore rings made of bronze, 2 wore rings of silver, and the pope wore an intricate ring made of gold. Gil'osh had also grown in size, now towering over the people he had sworn to defend.
Pope Leontius, the political leader of Glasden, was also its religious leader, traveling from town to town upon Gil'osh's back. His son, Aelric, became
