Angusia
The Guardian of the Gate
Angusia is a Goddess who are accepted as being part of at least two different religions, and mostly staying the same Goddess in both. The major, and important differens, is that in the Parbagian lore the God Anyak was created before Angusia. While in the Nirvalian stories Angusia was created first and fills the same role Anyak have in the Parbagian stories. Angusia is mostly known in Ereb for being a member of the Parbagian parthenon as the wife to the main God Anyak, and mother to the other deities. Although the Parbagian parthenon is old, the Nirvelian tradition claims that she as a Goddess is even older than the Parbagian parthenon. The Nirvelians claim Angusia is a Goddess who originiated from the Nirvellian island and culture, and that the Parbagian parthenon is a misunderstanding.
In both religions Angusia is described as a tall, slim, beautiful long haired women dressed in a long but old fashioned dress. She is often depicted with a Golden key in her hand or belt, standing in the light in front of a metal gate which contains the void. In both traditions she is called "The gate keeper" but there is a differense as to what gate she is guarding. In both religions creation myths the Sun were kept imprisoned, and in the Nirvelian tradition Angusia guards the gate which leads to the place the sun were kept imprisoned. A place of suffering, void, darkness and cold, inhabited by beings of immense evil. While in the Parbagian traditions she guards the gates to Bolgovia, or the realm where those who have died goes to for judgement and decision on how they will be reborn.
The core of Angusia is that she is a goddess of order, wisdom and justice. Within both traditions her followers are often found within places of wisdom, such as universities or they are found working within a realms justice system. Of course she also have temples were the followers spend their time in service of the temple. All temples of Angusia have at least one shelf containing scrolls or books containing texts on laws and justice. In the realms were Angusia are accepted the services of her disciples are often sought, when a particulary difficult case needs to be solved.
In the Parbagian tradition her followers are also strict devotees to the feudal order as according to the traditions the titles were created and given to the mortals directly from her. Within the Nirvelian tradition focus more on that she was the creator of order rather than any specific process of securing order.
