Reginald Wyoming

"Agent Wyoming is a pefect example of how hardships can cause people to question their loyalties. Though he stayed loyal to the Director during the betrayal performed by some of the freelancers, once he saw that Project Freelancer was not as indestructible as he once believed, he deserted." ~ Aiden Peace, Councillor of Project Freelancer.

Physical Description

Specialized Equipment

Wyoming's armour consists of a titanium chestplate, kneeguards, gauntlets, wristguards, pauldrons and a leather underarmour. This armour has painted pure white in order to act as winterized camouflage. A complex series of arcane runes and wires are hidden within the layers of the armour, and on the back there is a compartment that contains his special equipment as well as an arcane engine, which is used to power the complex components of the armour.   Agent Wyoming uses a scoped musket as his primary weapon, which allows him to reliably pick off his enemies from great distances. There is a small bayonet attached to the barrel of the musket, which allows Wyoming to dispatch of enemies that get too close to him.   Agent Wyoming is in possession of his very own AI fragment, known as Gamma. Gamma has the appearance of an light blue silhouette in a vaguely humanoid shape. Roughly eight inches in height, Gamma hovers over Wyoming's shoulder at most times, though he is capable of dispelling his form and existing only in Wyoming's mind. He can share his vast banks of knowledge with Wyoming at any time and perceives the world at a far slower speed than Agent Wyoming, giving him incredible reaction times and ensuring that he always has a strategy no matter what the situation is.
"Agent Wyoming's equipment is incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands. Thankfully it is not too flashy and rarely draws attention to itself. The exact nature of what his equipment does is unfortunately classified, in order to prevent panic." ~ Aiden Peace, Councillor of Project Freelancer.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born in Venator Lancea, Reginald Wyoming and his family moved to Arcadia when he was ten, and he spent much of his adolescence hunting in order to help support his family. At the age of eighteen, he signed up to join the Authenian Military, and very quickly his incredible precision was noticed by some of the higher ups in the AMC.   When Reginald Wyoming was offered higher pay and better training, he jumped at the chance, and so he joined the dozens of volunteers that were tested to see if they had the potential to become a part of Project Freelancer. After months of intense training, Reginald Wyoming eventually became Agent Wyoming.   Due to his skill as a sharpshooter, Agent Wyoming quickly rose through the ranks of the Freelancers, and eventually became the second highest performing freelancer, though he later went down to third place after Agent Texas joined the project.   Agent Wyoming was the first of the freelancer agents to be given an AI fragment, due to the fact that the Councillor deemed him the best choice to be paired with Gamma, seeing their personalities as compatible. Agent Wyoming adjusted to Gamma's presence quickly, as he was never one to reject a clear advantage.   He enjoyed to spend his freetime on the FOI, joking, drinking and gambling with his fellow freelancers. He was particularly fond of Agent Florida, and got along well with Agent Maine.   When Agent Texas and her allies defected against Project Freelancer and the Director, Agent Wyoming was one of the freelancers who tried to stop them, and fought his fellow freelancers mercilessly, caring not for the bond they once shared. During the battle, the hull of the FOI was significantly damaged, and Agent Wyoming did not want to go down with the ship, and so he deserted Project Freelancer.   For the past six years, Wyoming has been a mercenary and hitman for hire, taking any job as long as the pay is high. He earns money so that he continue to enjoy more than the bare minimum in life, so that he can stay at fine inns, drink fine drinks and gamble. Wyoming hardly talks to anyone unless they are Gamma, an employer, an enemy or someone that he is gambling against.

Morality & Philosophy

There are very few lines that Wyoming will not cross, and he will happily kill if the price is right. Despite this, he has a strange sense of fair play, and often gives his oppenents a chance to fight back or get their bearings if they are the victim of poor luck. He will not extend this same mercy to those who have caused their own poor circumstance, only those who are the victims of blatant poor luck.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Wyoming does not seem to be concerned with much beyond his survival and his ability to maintain his current lifestyle. The only reason he still works is for the thrill of it and for the money. He no longer has any room for idealism in his life, as he sees that as a death sentence.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Agent Wyoming is an incredibly skilled marksman, and is capable of hitting his targets from multiple kilometres away, with pinpoint accuracy. He uses his rifle both for lethal and non-lethal purposes. He has great skill with it, and is more than capable of shooting weaponry out of the hands of his foes.   While his true skill lies in ranged combat, Wyoming is more than capable with a dagger or shortsword, and he fights without honour and is happy to use unconventional methods in close quarters combat.   A skilled tracker and hunter, there are very few places that Wyoming could ever go hungry, and very few ways to get him lost or stop him from tracking you down if he desired to.   Agent Wyoming has knowledge in arcane magic, which he uses to his advantage whenever he can, particularly when he is hired to kill or capture a spellcaster. He mostly uses magic in order to defend himself or send telepathic messages to his current employer, though he can also use it to defend himself if he is separated from his rifle.

Likes & Dislikes

Likes

Wyoming enjoys gambling, and is gracious in defeat, though his defeats are rather rare. Particularly good at card games, Wyoming would spend most evenings playing cards with other men of the world if he could.   Wyoming has a fascination for history, and a large amount of the money he earns goes to buying history books that he can read by the fireplace of whatever inn or tavern he is currently occupying.   Wyoming has a strange liking of knock-knock jokes.

Dislikes

Wyoming hates intense heats, and can rarely be found in places such as Zestós and the Thymomen desert.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Agent Wyoming and Gamma regard each other as friends, and Wyoming welcomes having someone to talk to while on a job. Both are concerned for the wellbeing of the other, with the years they have spent together making them have the utmost trust in each other.   While working for the Director of Project Freelancer, Agent Wyoming was close friends with Agent Florida. Many didn't like Florida due to his overly cheerful and friendly personality, but he enjoyed card games and fought well, which is all he needed to make friends with Wyoming. Florida also stayed loyal to the Director, but soon after, the Director sent him to the mainland of the Republic and he has not been seen since, though he has not been listed as dead.   Agent Wyoming and Agent Maine got along well, and worked together well on the battlefield. They spent hours every week gambling and drinking together. When Maine suffered from a throat injury that left him unable to speak, Wyoming relied on Maine's AI fragment, Sigma, in order to allow the two to communicate.

Social Aptitude

Wyoming speaks in a polite and formal manner almost at all times. He tends to give insincere apologies to his victims, whenever he harms them or destroys their property.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"Here's what's going to happen: I'm going to ask you a question, you're going to give me an answer. One question, one answer. I don't like the answer, we've got a problem. We've got a problem, you've got a problem. Understood?" ~ Agent Wyoming's interrogation policy.
