Thanatos
Death Incarnate
Divine Domains

Tenets of Faith
Acceptance. The key to a full life is to acknowledge that it shall one day come to an end, and there will be no avoiding it.
Equality. Noble, King or Peasant, all will breath their last breath. Death cannot be bribed and cares not for the social status of those he claims.

To enforce the law of mortality upon every being with spillable blood and a body that can decay.
To guide the souls of all non-combatants to the Underworld, for the souls of warriors have the honour of being guided by Hermes.

When Thanatos takes physical form, he takes the appearance of a man with grey skin, medium length silver hair, glowing amber eyes and large black wings, similar to that of a crow's, protruding from his back.
Special abilities
The mere existence of Thanatos is what allows all creatures to die, without him, no creature could die, no matter what wounds or sickness was inflicted upon them.
Apparel & Accessories
Thanatos wears a black cloak as dark as night, specially tailored to fit his winged form.
Specialized Equipment
Thanatos always carries a sword of pure silver, radiating ethereal power, capable of reaping the souls of any mortals who refuse to come with Thanatos peacefully.
Thanatos also carries a pair of ethereal shackles, capable of binding the spirit of any mortal he deems untrustworthy of coming with him to the Underworld of their own accord.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Thanatos was born to Nyx and Erebus, the union of Night and Darkness. He was born shortly after the Rise of the Olympian Gods and the Fall of the Titans. With the birth of Thanatos, coincided the concept of a limitted life. At first, only animals could meet Death, as early mortals were still unaging, but that changed after Zeus punished Prometheus and brought the horrors of Pandora's Box to all mortals, forcing them to abide to the laws of Death, finally allowing Thanatos to claim the first mortals.
Failures & Embarrassments
Being tricked and captured by the ancient king Sisyphus, temporarily making every living entity immortal until Ares freed him from his prison, allowing the cycle of Life and Death to continue.
Personality Characteristics
Virtues & Personality perks
Thanatos is incredibly patient, as Death is ever watchful and waiting for the right time of every mortal's passing. He knows the exact moment each mortal dies a non-violent death, and awaits to guide them to the Realm of Hades.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Thanatos loyaly serves Lord Hades, delivering the souls of mortals to His realm so that they may go to the Afterlife befitting to their deeds on the Mortal Plane.
Family Ties
Death has a younger twin brother, Hypnos, Sleep Incarnate. Thanatos and Hypnos are rather close, with Hypnos often looking to his brother, to the point of immitating his work. This is why Sleep is but a mockery of Death. Thanatos is quite protective of his little brother.
Mannerisms
Thanatos behaves in a stoic manner, unswayed by the pleading of those that wish it was not their time. The only thing that can make Death's calm facade crack is when someone tries to cheat Him. Mortals that think themselves above the power of Thanatos learn quickly the error of their ways.
