Personal history

Baltus never really fit in with others of his kind. While most sheep-folk like to resolve impasses in social interaction with headbutting, much in the same way a human might ask for a duel, Baltus would take this to the extreme, demanding a contestive headbutting for nearly any slight.
Baltus, although good-natured, was more violent that his sheep-folk peers, whom often resolve social conflicts with headbutting, in much the same way a human might call for a duel.
Baltus soon found life with his kind boring and struck out to seek his fortune. Given his love of conflict, he naturally came into the mercencary life.
Baltus was a natural fit as a mercenary, his immense size and willingness to do nearly anything for coin, allowed him to quickly establish a name for himself.
Baltus eventually struck out on his own where he has found great success as an independent mercenary.
