Ironwood was originally engineered by forest elves' druid horticulturists in the eponymous Ironwood forest. Ironwood trees have since been transplanted to other, elven-guarded, forests.

Ironwood was originally cultivated in the Ironwood forest thousands of years ago by Forest Elf horticulturists.
Industrial Use
Ironwood is manipulated using secret techniques known only to elven artisans. This secret is jealousy guarded and passed down only from master to apprentice.
Manufacturing & Products
Ironwood is used for creation of numerous items. It's branches can be used to create bows, and clubs and other weapons. Properly prepared bark can be used as arrowheads and armor.
Environmental Impact
Ironwood trees are resource hungry when compared to trees of similar size. When properly tended, however, ironwood trees have little impact on their environment.
