Erelam

Erelam is an ever-changing universe, whose current state and outcome is determined by players and DM through joint effort in the series known as "the Defilement". It has been through many evolutions and undergone drastic changes at the hand of these determined and fate-bound heroes, beginning as a cosmos filled to the brim with worlds, and eventually becoming two worlds, a moon, and the Sun. The two worlds of Erelam are Aertel, the mortal plane, and Voltel, the immortal plane. This division of mortal and immortal was brought about at the end of the Great War, a war that spread across the original form the Universe, Engulfing all of life. The devastation was on such a massive scale that the gods confined all of mortal life onto Aertel, the original home of man and elf, and then themselves on Voltel, a plane of their own design; thus shrinking the universe down to a more manageable size. For two thousand years this was how the universe remained, with all the stories to be unfolded waiting to happen.
