Nardorf
A large town dedicated to the discovery of the secrets of the Emerald Isles. Most of the inhabits that live here worship Auna, Goddess of Truth . The island is located deep in the southern isles in the Mists of Calddorna . In recent years it has become a destination to visit for its recorded time line of events of the Emerald Isles that the Keepers of the Tomes hold.
Government
The chosen government of Nardorf is a Theocracy which the church of Auna maintains. The church dictate policy that they believe to be the holy truth of their god. However, it is worth noting that very few laws exist in this settlement and surprisingly there is little to no crime to speak of.
Defences
The town has large towering walls with archer towers stationed several hundred feet apart, these walls span the northern and southern boarders of the town. The town has no official army just a small group of watch men that protect it from monsters that might wander to close. The biggest defense the town has from the outside world is the Mists of Calddorna which conceal it from outside raids.
Infrastructure
The town has what most would expect in a city, running water, sewer system, food supply, fair trade, laws and code of conduct, inns, taverns, blacksmiths, and various tradesmen.
Districts
The city has four districts that are separate by the orange river, making clear boundaries between the districts . The districts are know for what thier general makeup is, in the south is the homestead district, in the north is the trades district, in the middle on the larger island is the truth district and the smaller island to the north west is the tomes district.
The Homestead district is mostly residence, consisting of simple homes made from stone and thatched roofs. A few taverns can be found here that serve as dinning for the local residents.
The Trades district houses the bussiness area of the town, inns, taverns, book binders, scribes, etc. Some do call this home and have residence here but mostly visitors call this district home for a short time.
The Truth district is set on a large island in the middle of the orange river. Here the Church of Auna makes its home. The ruling body of the church known as the Seekers of Truth conduct all business from this island.
And finally On the small island to the north west is the Tomes district. Here a group of is homemonks that is know as the Keepers of the Tomes make their home in a large and grand reaching tower. The monk collect and organize the history and timeline of the Emerald Isles.
History
Founded in the early 600’s by explorers of Auna set on discovering the truth behind the Mists. The small outpost grew as more flocked to the area in hearing the new of exploration and discovery by these disciples of truth. In the late 800s the village of Nardorf experienced a large boon of population growth as they discovered quicker routes of travel through the Mists, this growth was also attributed to the relationship that the people of Nardorf shared with the Mistborne. Since than the town has experience great strides forward in growth and discovery.
Geography
Out side of the town are rolling hills that lead into towering mountains, the rest of the island is surrounded by the Emerald sea and the Mists.
Climate
The climate is always damp and cool do to the Mists, during winter the town has experienced snow which is an anomaly due to its location in the world. Because of the climate the libraries and record rooms are protected with powerful magic to resist the elements.
