Obsidian gates

The air is thick with mist and fog, and the skies are often dark and overcast. As one travels deeper into the range, the landscape becomes increasingly hostile, with dangerous creatures lurking around every turn.
One of the most ominous features of the Obsidian Gates are the gates themselves, which are rumored to lead to other planes of existence. The gates are said to be made of dark, obsidian stone, and are guarded by powerful elemental creatures and undead. It is said that those who venture too close to the gates risk being dragged into the shadowy realms beyond.

However the pass into the Gates is protected by the Stoneburn Family at their base known as Hidden Rock.
