The Diamond Pick

The true back bone of the Wayhill economy, this guild ensures the flow of riches from the Mountain of Endless Fortune. Although it is hard and tough manual labor that the guild performs, it is necessary for the city's survival. Guild members are often called tunnel rats, but make no mistake they are the most respected with in the city.

Structure

The Guild is broken down by two groups called unions. The first union is called the Tunnel Makers. This group is made up of sub groups that are broken down into professions. These professions are miner, hauler, sorter and track laborer. The person in these sub groups that is in charge is called a Steward. The Steward is responsibly for making sure things run smoothly and represents the group in daily meetings with the other stewards of the tunnel makers union. The Tunnel Builders is the other union and functions just like the Makers union except their professions are different. The profession or sub group are lighter, carpenter, Map maker and track operator. And at the top of the guild is the Guild Master that is elected every two years by a vote from both unions.
All stewards from both unions meet at a weekly meeting to discuss production, safety considers, needed assists from the other guilds, and to discuss city policy with the Guild master.

The Guild ensures the city that all mandates set forth by the Iron Table will be met on time. This promise to the city has never been broken and the guild does whatever it has to too ensure that it does.

Assets

The biggest asset the guild has is its track system. It is estimated that the track system spans more than 500 miles and is still growing with each year.

History

The Diamond Pick was made up of the first settlers of Wayhill. From it spawned other guilds until there were seven. The guild is still seen as the Mother and Father of the system that is now in place.
