The Golden Trading Company

The Golden Trading Company is a large banking guild that has its main vault and headquarters in The City of Wayhill. The guild lends out coins to willing customers, they usually charge fees, interests or receive percentage of the establishment that they are funding. The guild also has set up smaller station banks in large cities in the known world. These station banks offer safe keeping of ones valuables which are guaranteed by the Guild. However, they do charge a small fee for this and other services that they preform. Those who break agreements or attempt to steal from the Guild always meet a horrible fate and the guild always gets their money.

Structure

The Guild structure is quite complex, however there are a few ranks but these ranks can have various and completely different jobs. In charge of the whole banking system is the Bank Master. The Master sits on the Iron Table serving as the guild's representation. Below the Bank Master are Bank Executives who are usually responsible for specific business areas. The executive for community banking focuses on local branches and offices at a local level. Another manager may be responsible for overseeing consumer lending, which provides personal and family loans. That department is usually separate from commercial lending, which funds businesses. Each executive generally has a small team of directors to more closely manage business functions. In community banking, executives will assign a senior leader to manage the distribution of products and another to focus on business development. Consumer lending oversight may be divided between various services. Underneath the directors are a team of managers who decide how to implement their plans. Community banking will have managers for areas like new accounts, branch operations, and teller services. Consumer lending will assign overseers for the department's credit management and direct consumer loans. Lastly are the Bank staff who are on the front lines and are often the face of the company to clients and potential employees alike. Banks have operational staff like any other industry, including human resource representatives, customer service representatives, and sales staff. Community banks may offer a broader range of direct consumer services have more frontline staff like tellers, personal bankers, and courier services.

The Goal of the Guild is to grow Wayhill's  financial power and influence though lending. The guild will often back a certain side of a war to gain favor when they win or lend coins to a country and have them pay back the coins with interest. They also lend to individuals and business with an interest or a percentage of the business.

Assets

Despite having access to the vast wealth in the bank vaults, the guild also holds various deeds on lands in Wayhill and other city in the world. The guild maintains many sub banks in other developed countries in which the guild has been able to own a percentage of various business and organizations with those cities though its lending programs. However, one of the most valuble assets that they possess are the favors of foreign heads of states.

History

The Guild got its start after the economic boon of 840, where hundreds of people started to move to the Wayhill and look to the The Diamond Pick for starter loans. Seeing an opportunity a few members broke off and pooled their money together. With this pooled wealth they issued loans and soon where able to turn there loans in to profit. In the year 895 the Guild was welcomed on to the Iron Table and was given the responsibility of the finances of Wayhill.
