Wayhill MarketPlace

Wayhill Marketplace is the highly regulated market that is located in the northern area of The City of Wayhill . It is here that the majority of commerce in one of the richest cities in Erellion takes place. It is heavily patrolled by both guards and watch wizards alike. There is an open air marketplace with semi-permanent stalls as well as tents for visiting merchants as well as many shops along the streets. You must be licensed to operate in the market. Shops are allowed to open 1 hour after sunrise and remain open 1 hour after sundown. Professional negotiators can be hired to work larger deals, the usual fee is 10% of the deal.

The marketplace serves as a safe, regulated place where merchants can sell their wares.

Architecture

The marketplace consists of a large plaza with both semi-permanent booths, tents and the surrounding streets that are filled with shops. Unlike the rest of the city there are no skywalks or arches over the plaza and the menacing floating citadel of the Bronze Dragons dominates the skyward view.

History

As soon as the first metals and gems started coming out of the mines the marketplace was established. It has been in place as long as the city has existed although through the years it has evolved from random merchants displaying their wares on blankets to a secure, regulated place to do business.

Tourism

People come from far and wide to do business here. If it is something crafted, especially out of metal or jewelry this is the place to find it. There are many inns and taverns located within a few blocks of the marketplace.
