Wyvern Peak

The legend of Wyvern Peak streches back for centuries. Some say it is folklore, other say it is the truth. Either way the story stands as a legend to this day. The druid Amergin Glúingel lived on the peak now known as Wyvern Peak with his wife Serotina. They lived a peaceful life for the most part but did defend the mountain when intruders came looking for wealth and resources. Amergin crossed paths with a wizard known only as Sidolfus. Sidolfus wanted to establish a tower on the peak believing it the perfect place for his studies away from civilization but Amergin would have nothing to do with it and "encouraged" Sidolfus to find another location. Sidolfus in return cursed Serotina and polymorphed her into a Wyvern, a beast he knew troubled Amergin because of there ferocious nature. Amergin tried all he could to undo the magic of Sidolfus but alas his love was gone from him. In a last effort to bring back some semblance of her mind he used his mighty magics to awaken the beast giving it awareness beyond that of a normal Wyvern. Amergin's last mortal act was to use his druidic powers to take the form of a Wyvern and abandon his humanity. It is said the Wyverns that inhabit the peak to this day have inherited the intelligence of the awakened beast that was once the beautiful Serotina.

Geography

Wyvern Peak is one of the tallest peaks on Erellion. As the name suggests it is home to a powerful flying reptilian species known as Wyverns. The peak itself is rugged and there is little vegetation. There are several plateaus and craggy areas that the Wyvern's use as nesting areas.

Fauna & Flora

Wyverns dominate the landscape here. There are several species of Wyverns, ranging from standard to Barbtounged and Fork-tailed. There is little in the way of vegetation.

Natural Resources

It is unknown if the mountain contains mineral or ore riches as the Wyverns have kept would be prospectors away for centuries on end.
