Ashkar is governed by a court of aristocrats, though several wealthy aristocrats have significant influence and power.

  • Ninu's Arsenal: A modest weaponsmith's workshop, built within the walls of an embattled stone tower.
  • The Indigo Chalice II: A modest dwarven inn, kept by a retired adventurer named Ningal. Its name comes from being a perfect duplicate of The Indigo Chalice, another inn on the other side of town, from the building itself to its decor and even patrons.

  • Nocri's Pottery: A large potter's workshop, which uses a volcanic fissure as a firing kiln.
  • The Asylum: A two-storey stone-walled building, filled with the madmen and lunatics of the town.

  • Mugama's Hauberks: The workshop of a male orc armorer named Mugama, who also sells potions of healing.
  • The Crossed Swords: A large dwarven inn, said to be a front for the Thieves' Guild.

  • The Heavenly Pavilion: A two-storey stone-walled theatre, said to be built upon the ground where a sidhe noble was betrayed and murdered.
  • Ninki's Pottery: A cluttered potter's workshop, built around a shrine of Nidur, Lady of Earth.

  • The Sorcerous Fool: A grand adventurer's tavern, kept by a sphinx named Ayannal.
  • The Merchant Guildhall: An impressive building of half-timbered walls, once an aristocrat's manor. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds.
    Old Hartsbluff District
Notable Places:
  • The Shrine of Nocri: A stone niche enshrining the holy symbol of Nocri, Lady of Healing, surrounded by an arched peristyle.
  • The Bloody Sword: A modest adventurer's tavern, known for the fire elemental which dwells in its hearth.
  Orchard Farthing
Notable Places: Abum's Hauberks: The workshop of a male orc armorer named Abum, who also sells potions of healing. The Pool of Radiance: A small pool of water, which glows with a flickering blue light. It is said to be haunted by a malevolent spirit, waiting for a worthy creature to possess. The local townsfolk avoid it.     Palace Village
Notable Places:
  • The Potion Maker Guildhall: An impressive stone-walled building, decorated with finely carved gargoyles. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds.
  • The Carpenter Guildhall: An ornate half-timbered building, once an inn house. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local trade guilds.
  • The Temple of Gardens: An impressive colonnaded building, dedicated to a pantheon of gods and goddesses.
  Rosebell Village
Notable Places:
  • The Crossed Candles: A large elven inn, which serves magical potions in addition to beers and ales.
  • The Jovial Scoundrel: An elegant dwarven tavern, built within what was once a sailing ship.
    Sword Farthing
Notable Places:
  • The Shrine of Abumuar: A cauldron lamp enshrining the flame of Abumuar, Lord of the Undead, said to be sometimes visited by the god himself.
  • The Sublime Pavilion: A two-storey timber and brick theatre, which has one door here and another in the City-State of Sippo.
  Unicorn's Farthing
Notable Places:
  • Biumalu's Folly: A spire of dark stone stands upon a rise in the land. It was built by an eccentric aristocrat named Biumalu many years ago, for no apparent purpose.
