Once Sebastian lay in his resting place of choice, a grave dug into the dirt of the Northern Wildwood, Aratil struck. Aratil drove a long wooden stake into the heart of Sebastian both ending the life of the vampire lord and freeing those weaker dark spawn close enough to hear Sebastian’s cries. As Aratil left the Vampire Lord’s Spire, he tethered into the bond shrouding the resting place and forever hiding the Spire of Sebastian Vaneras.
When Sebastian Vaneras returned to his home in the Northern Wildwood, he was both surprised and delighted to find an Aves settlement had been established close to his Spire. The Aves nest Zeffari was horrified as their community was ravaged by the bloodthirsty Vampire Lord. Their loved ones would return as dark spawn and attempt to drain the life essence of neighbors and family members. However, Sebastian Vaneras did not expect the Aves to be such a resilient and intelligent race. Powerful spellcasters by nature, the Zeffari Flock Leader Aratil followed Sebastian back to his Spire, avoiding the many traps and dark spawn that awaited to protect their vampire lord as he slept.
