Era of Inner Flame

The Above, formed from the love of Al’Madoon and his self-sacrifice. For choosing light over darkness, Rezmir would ascend to the Above, welcoming the kind-hearted and those who embraced the light. With the help of his sisters, Asanna and Luniwyn, Rezmir successfully recovered a branch from the damaged Tree of Aymara, planting this new tree close to his acquired domain. This branchling grew and began to bear fruit, as its mother Aymara did before it, forming angels and seraphim as the fruit ripened.

The Illuminated Church is arguably the most influential organization and religion in Erenel. Members of the church worship the deities born of the foremother, now known as the deities of light, equally as a family. As a collective, the deities of light represent all that is holy and good while seeking to protect their faithful from the abominations that would bring harm.   The three deities of light (Asanna, Luniwyn and Rezmir) seek to further their own ends and grow stronger with worship. As determined by their Yearning, gods and demigods grow more influential through worship. Only after amassing enough influence can a deity fulfill their Yearning and replace Al’Madoon as Architect. This often brings deities into conflict, except the deities of light, who, besides petty squabbles, are unified behind the principles of light.

A band of humans gifted in the art of tethering and unhappy with their mortal form look for ways to increase their lifespan.   Approached by a mysterious entity known only as the Scarlet Walker – a powerful figure offering to the Sanguis a blood bonding ritual that would grant extended life without the taint of undeath. The Scarlet Walker conveniently left out the pains of hunger…

After spending generations traveling Erenel, Kav'wa, the Bard Prince creates the Tads race in his image by tethering into the bond of Giant Frogs and Giant Toads, shaping their being and enhancing their intelligence.

Veryne was once the capital of the Vhalurian Empire, a small yet prosperous empire on the western continent Lyrathil. After 150 years of steady, if not complacent, rule by House Ludremon, an unfortunate cosmic accident brought about the city's immediate destruction.   On that fateful night, enormous fragments of a fallen star rained down upon Veryne, devastating the city and contaminating its residents, causing them to mutate in gruesome eldritch ways. Now, multiple factions gather outside the ruins of Veryne, holding expeditions into the hostile ruins in search of knowledge, wealth and answers.
