Son of Lenora Katesh and a human man, Alaric stands in the middle between the undeath of vampirism and the mortality of humanity. He believes his mother can be cruel and he seeks to embrace his humanity. However, his mother does love him, and cares greatly for his safety, and wishes for him to become the leader of the clan in the event she is killed. It would not be her first choice as she never wants him to be in danger, but she does not trust anyone more than him. He acts as the personal guard for Queen Tara Ironhearth in the city of Jormund .
