Many years ago she lost all her family when they had to flee their home country because of war.  Losing everyone close to her, she sold her soul to become more powerful.  She went a little mad.  She cut her eyelids so they now blink both horizontally and vertically.  She dislikes everyone except for her god and her daughter.  She has a such a deep-rooted hatred that it turned into a literal god complex.
