The True Order

The True Order is the military of Dorhmha. They are present in all cities and are especially apparent on the east and west islands of Dorhmha. They are extremely intelligent and highly militarized. They are a crushing force among militant factions and refuse to be tread upon.   Cruelty of the Order: When members of the Order rise in rank, they are forcefully branded somewhere on their body. If they scream or make a noise, they will be punished. Captains for the record, are unflinching in every aspect of the word.  During this ritual, the member must make a Constitution saving throw.  On a failed save, the member takes 1d4+1 (the number of dice and modifier increase with each rank) and reacts to the brand.  On a successful save, the member takes half that and does not flinch.  This ritual is repeated a number of times equal to the level of their upcoming rank.   Weapons: The Order uses a variety of martial weapons and finds them more useful than simple weapons. They come in all shapes and sizes, while the colors of most weapons are white where they can be.   Armor and Clothing: Their armor is without question always white with gold accents. Some plating is often silver and white gilded capes are a must to most. Very few members of the True Order show their faces and as such have large ornate helmets to distinguish one from another. In addition, upon reaching the rank of Lieutenant, the member destroys their original armor and gains an old set of armor from a deceased Captain, sans the helmet.   Beliefs:
  • There is no glory in weakness.
  • A show of force is the only way to maintain order.
  • I will always be smarter than my opponent.
  • Dorhmha will never fall so long as I live.

Starter Stats:

  Prerequisites: Your Strength must be at least 16 and your Intelligence must be at least 16.  You must also succeed on the Cruelty of the Order trial.  
  • You are proficient in martial weapons.
  • You also start with 80gp.
  • In addition to this, you start with all Private benefits.

  • Skill Proficiencies: Athletics
  • Armor: Order Armor - (Half plate) OR (Splint)
 

Sergeant:

  • Weapon Proficiencies: You are proficient in martial weapons if you are not already.
  • Armor Proficiencies: You become proficient in either Medium or Heavy armor.
  • Ability Proficiencies: +1 Intelligence
  • Items: New Brand of Rank
 

Lieutenant:

  • Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation
  • Armor: Old Armor - +1 AC to Order Armor
  • Items: New Brand of Rank
 

Captain:

 
  • Skill Proficiencies: History
  • Ability Proficiencies: +1 Strength
  • Actions: You gain the spell Hold Person and can use it up to once per day. Use your Intelligence as your spellcasting modifier.
  • Armor: Specialist Armor - +3 AC to Old Armor and you no longer have disadvantage on stealth rolls.
  • Weapon: You gain specialization in a martial weapon of your choice and its dice will be the most optimized it can be (large amount of small dice).
  • Items: New Brand of Rank
