Ystvan of the Far Northern Kingdoms

Ystvan's Father Ylvaryn met his Human Mother during the Grand Unification when her Kingdom was united with the Northern Kingdoms of the Highland Elves.
Unlike on the continent of Zaccan, in the Northern Kingdoms, Human-Elf interaction was frowned upon. That far north, Northern Humans are seen as a primal race with a fondness for Conquest and strange form of magic, not seen anywhere else on Erilar. Ironic given the 12 "Great" Wars before the Highland Elves considered the Far North to be Unified.
The Highland elves are decended from what is known in the Northern Kingdoms as the Aeielvz. However, they have forgotten their Origins and have gradually morphed their social hierarchy into a Feudal Ruling Class with the Highland Elves being the last survivors of the Wars of the North.
Before the wars of the north there were:
The Silvyr Elves of the South
The Aeonari Elves of the East
And the Vikkar Elves of the Dark West, a Dread Magic worshiping sect shunned by all Elves before the Wars of the North. The Humans of the far North never learn of this, and as far as they're concerned the Highland Elves are the ONLY Elves ever to have walked on Erilar The Humans of the far North, as touched on before have a rather unique alchemical based magic system that use different potions rather than spells to achieve various mystical effects. This is not too dissimilar to other magical potions found elsewhere on Erilar, especially on the continent of Zaccan, but the Northern potions are more refined, and expanded on compared to anything found outside of the Northern Kingdoms. All Life on Erilar can channel Magic, it just depends on the medium. The Humans of the Far North use mystical herbs, plants and things like mushrooms and berries that can be eaten and mixed, as for some reason, they are unable to channel magic naturally like most other races on Erilar. It is theorized that hybrid of a Far Northern Human and another race could effectively use both types of magic, but there would be a cost of say over using potions or constantly channeling power into your own body. I regards to Ystvan, he pretty much goes full potion, so his Elvish potential is entirely untapped If he actually taps into his Elvish potential, the Sword (Frostbite the Blade of the Nocturnals) will basically bind to him and unlock a fuck ton of his Magical Power ⛮ Ylvaryn is a Bastard Bastard Bastard Son of a surviving Vikkar female, taken in by a Highland Elf after her entire Clan were wiped out.
