Errilor

Errilor sits motionless on the skein of the universe, planes and realms of existence hurtling past in the dark cosmos. Under the surface, three huge tectonic plates shift slowly. Two in the north colliding together, their colossal forces forging mountains, the third in the south, spinning slowly around its own eccentric axis.

Geography

In the centre of this supercontinent lies the huge mountain range of the Meridia Terra, slowly climbing ever higher as the two landmasses come together. Here volcanic activity is common, and valleys will often become filled with streams of lava from vast magma chambers, themselves fed from the heart of Errilor. Thus solidified rock from eruptions is filled with precious metals and minerals, drawing volcano prospectors from surrounding lands.   The west lie the verdant pastures and lush forests of the Intermedium Marum. Fed by the easterly wind from the Catageic sea and the rains that it brings, these lands are filled with lakes and rivers, bringing water from the green hilltops back to the many deltas and bays along its coast. During the rainy season, pastures often turn into marshland, allowing many creatures who lie dormant and buried just beneath the surface to burrow their way out and inhabit the boggy landscape. Just off the coast lie the Islands of Torpes and Tilas, both covered in thick jungles, and subject to the harshest of the seas typhoons and storms.   To the east lie the Great plains. Much of this land is arid and dry, with large areas given over to deserts. In the milder parts there are small forests, where nomad traders may find shade and rest. Paradoxically, It is also home to the longest river on the planet, the Crystal way, which runs from the eastern most border of the mountains, all the way to the Cymat Archipelago. The eastern most border of this landmass is scarred by the Rubosid Tear, a gash in the fabric of the ether which connects Errilor directly to the Abyss. This corruption brings forth mountains and swamps where there should be none, and induces fire and ice on the landscape in equal measure. This harsh landscape eventually gives way to the obsidian cliffs, which are as beutiful as they are imposing.     The southernmost landmass is held in almost perpetual twilight, thanks to the unique influence of the planes of light and shadow. Cold and unforgiving, it is colonised by unique flora and fauna as well as only the hardiest of souls. In the centre lies the Azure sea, a huge lake which is perpetually frozen. Shifts in the ice can send huge towers of translucent turquoise into the air, creating palaces that glisten in the constant starlight.
