"The Fated Trio Entwined"
In the Year of Ashes Risen, came three of noble mind and body to treat for peace. When they left, the three had become one of singular intent though myriad methods. May fate permit the union of our people to remain unbroken until all is sundered at world's end.The elf artisan Agleth Holimion created this piece to celebrate the reunion of the three elf cultures in the waning years of the Rhyliss Imperium, quietly having designed it for a year before unveiling it in the city of Autumn's Rise during the equinox celebration. The reaction of guests was initially quite varied, but was followed by extended attempts to understand the artistry and the process which was used. After many questions prying into the methodology and some of the finer details being noticed, it was more widely acclaimed and awarded a permanent position in the Plaza of Reunions. Agleth quietly retired back to her estate, stating her dissatisfaction with a few details of the piece and promising to do better for her next project.
Crafted largely of oak wood taken from the Holimion estates in the Feywild, the installation consists of three statues carved into shape and then coated in some fashion with three metals: silver, platinum, and mithril. Small polished stones, ranging from semiprecious to common, help accent matters and break up the monotony of each metallic coating. Furthermore, different finishes were applied to the metal to keep it interestingly varied in texture and visual appeal. Aside from the statue, six archways of wood are entwined together to form a dome with silk leaves attached to offer shade for those who wish to stand inside the art piece and inspect it closer. At the center is a marble pedestal set with very fine script which is itself rather unique; the grammatical structure is something more in common with draconic languages rather than elven. When questioned on this, Agleth merely replied it was an artistic choice, and remarked it was perfectly readable if you could understand it.
The installation itself depicts three elf nobles before a pedestal, all of them laying a blade down on it as a symbolic gesture of dispensing with aggressive intent. Each noble represents one of the cultures of elf society, and is thus captured in what one might expect of a noble who traces their connections within their cultures. While no identifications were made, or offered, the consensus has been made of who might be depicted with each of the statues: the High Lord Aegolin Telimari, the Wild Warden Lleth Syvantus, and the Magister of Shade Cyril Fadyrin. While attendees were quick to question the choice of identities and metals used for each individual, and whether there was a political statement, Agleth was quick to dissuade these and remark only on potential positive qualities expressed by the choices. From what is known, the wood elves were represented by mithril, the high elves by silver, and the dark elves by platinum.
While attempts to feel out whether there is magic inherent in the art object itself have failed due to the location, repeated divination attempts have suggested it is not only harmless, but also without any enchantments beyond weather-proofing. It seems to be simply a piece of art created with the aid of magic, but without any secondary functions.
