Ipthryx

Ipthryx is an imp who originates from the Nine Hells. He was contracted to serve Xaradius, Commander of the Branded Battalion, as a messenger and errand boy. His service was ended when he agreed to undertake a dangerous mission to deliver the baby of Xaradius and his wife Anguish to safety as the Battalion laid siege to the Moon Elf city of Shealune. Forced to make an escape through the only plane open to him, Xaradius took the tiny tiefling into the Feywild, a plane that was completely alien to him. Due to the time warping effects of travelling to and from the Feywild, Ipthryx returned to the Prime several hundred years after leaving. He quickly found a home for the baby tiefling and set about ingratiating himself with the criminal underground in Neverwinter. Over the years he has obtained the top position in the Black Cabal, that of the Black Master.
