This location is run by a ruling bankocracy, or the ruling class of banks. Here this is the hub for the coming and going of all the gold that funds the markets located all across the globe and keeps a tight leash on all types of currency. Many citizens believe that this is a scummy place due to profiting off of any wars that occurs globally. While they do have laws regarding wars among "allies", they do make excepts for those to come to them for extra funding in the form of loans.
Formed after the Collapse of the Many Faces, The many types of currencies caused the collapse of 2/3rd of the world governments and in a rush of urgency, it was decided that there should be a central bank that can narrow down the type of currency. However, as the money began to pour in from old agreements with the Banks, they used some of the money to expand to the neighboring island to house their employees and those that wish to live near the banks. As time went on, the banks expanded from just currency to history, maintaining the quality of food, keeping track of debts, and many other factors.
