History
After the fall of their ancestors, the Ancient Order of the Turtle Palm had lead the remaining individuals of their former civilization south under the guise of a pilgrimage of monks to escape their Orcish neighbors whom decimated their lands and soon found themselves on several islands. Each survivor had their families separated and a percentage of the survivors were separated on a few of these islands and they soon repopulated the islands to where they have expanded to all the other islands. Because the survivors had begun their repopulation, they had restarted their empire with a new emperor and empress. There their old traditions continued and were left to their devices and thus allowed their monastery to create a massive fog surrounding the continent to keep them from prying eyes except toward the end of the 4th century, they allowed refugees of some small humanoid races to the southeastern islands where they created the only floating islands of the continent and had come to an agreement to not give the location and the terrain of the other islands.
