Born unto the small Eveknarai tribe in the Eastern Clutch of the Leywood, the forest which surrounds the The Feyscar, "Drem" is one of only five males of his kind to survive to adulthood in his region within the last two decades. Harpies, considered the most monstrous of the "uncivilized" sapient races of Erlyse who have been pushed to the most inhospitable regions of the world, were already dwindling in population before Drem's hatching. However, even the Eveknarai began to feel the sting of the relentless greed and hateful prejudice from the Humans and Altum during his youth, which subjected the young harpy male to near constant atrocities committed against his family, friends and tribe as he grew up. Despite the vindictive nature of his species, Drem managed to keep his building rage under control against all odds, using it as a tool and motivator to fuel his survival instincts till he was of age to take action within his tribe's political hierarchy.
