Romethia (Ro-me-thee-uh)

History:   Romethia was established after the Sundering when displaced fighters and refugees from both armies gathered at the central crossroads of the continent. They worked together by necessity to quell the rise of fiendish entities rising from the rift torn open by the god Tempus. This safety in numbers and geographical positioning led to an influx of trade and business but also opened the door to power struggles within the newly thriving city.   Romethia is unique in the sense that there are no laws. The founders of the city were too diverse and having just fought in the Sundering, the ideological differences would have brought an early end to this growing city. Crime is still a problem but not to the extent many would think for a city of no laws. This is mostly to do with the 4 powerful families that have established a semblance of order. The families use their muscle and their coin to ensure their interests are safe and that Romethia continues to thrive.   Magic is prevalent in all things within the city. Magic was heavily relied on during the early formation of the city and has been incorporated into daily life. This magic is more rustic and wild than that of Celestia whose magic is known for its elegance and beauty.   Romethia present day is a melting pot of personalities and individuals. Orcs from Grokku, Dwarves from Tholrune, Elves from Elafina, and others from various parts of the country make their way to Romethia seeking work and new beginnings. Permanent residents are usually traders, those who work for the 4 Families, or mercenaries for hire.
The Families Four:   The Flameshadow Druids, Gearlock Gang, Grizzlegut Gold Stewards, and Quibbleflick Arms have risen to local power through monopolies in their respective trades.
Warforged   Once weapons of war, these Automatons have grown sentient following the events of the Sundering. It is not clear how these war torn automatons gained a sense of purpose and emotional understanding, however the Warforged have successfully acclimated themselves within society.
