Unaspected Arcane


Non-elemental magic is also known as Unaspected Arcane. Which refers to abilities and magic skills, such as Flare and Ultima, that do not have an elemental affiliation, unlike Fire or Blizzard.

Non-elemental abilities and magic skills cannot be absorbed by units who absorb elemental attacks.

As favoured by The Enchantress Ezmia, who has always been anti Elemental based magic. She believed using the six elements to be lazy and unstable.

Non-elemental magic is a strain of magic only recently (last 180 years) made possible.

While the untrained eye might see it as effortless manipulation of the elements around a mage, it is anything but simple.

As mages have access to the 'pools' a multitude of planes and realms, it has become possible for them to mix various Types of Magic together; while some of these spells have effects that are elemental, many do not. So, this is not really non-elemental magic; it is ALL-elemental magic, as this pool is a combines all other pools (naturally, with the exception of pools not able to be learned by regular mages, such as support and practical magics) in its own right.

It was named non-elemental magic because the majority of its spells seem to have effects that are not elemental at all.

Non-Elemental magic's greatest strength is that it can bypass most elemental resistances and strengths, making them effective against elements or types that have no or rare weaknesses.

This can include, some:-
Primal magic = voodoo rituals, cursed dolls, palm reading and astral projections.
Arcane magic = a conjuration type of magic could be fun and versatile too, invoking mind constructs like weapons and projectiles allowing them to swap between melee and range combat, with also some protective runes, teleport, and scrying.

Low Level: Dispel Magic, Shield;
Mid Level: Dispel Evil and Good, Greater Restoration;
High Level: Invulnerability, Anti-magic Field

Divination
Low Level: Identify, Find Traps;
Mid Level: ScryingLocate Creature
High Level: True Seeing, Foresight
