Heyton Aldalayne
Heyton Aldalayne became the 14th Grandmaster of the Wayfarer’s Lodge in 1185, upon the retirement of his friend and predecessor, Lymar Rilland. Aldalayne served as treasurer for almost two decades prior to his promotion, and he is credited with steering the lodge clear of bankruptcy during the 1170s.
Aldalayne trained in the Mage’s Guild of Galdra, siding with the queen during the Mage’s Coup. He assisted in the formation of the Arcane Bastion, but later resigned in protest of the atrocities committed throughout the Mage’s Purge. During his self-imposed exile in Esharral, he met the Rilland, and assisted the Wayfarers with introductions to other exiled mages. When the purges officially ended in 1160, Aldalayne accepted a post at the Wayfarers’ Lodge.
Aldalayne’s peers describe him as compassionate, though practical. As a leader, he can sometimes make difficult, and even unpopular, decisions – believing that lesser evils pave the path to greater goods.
