Ironvoid

Ironvoid is a fortress in the northwest of the Nightvalley province. It is famed for its vast underground complexes, built during the Hylachian era.
Ironvoid is governed by Governor Karlin Booth , whose sigil is a portcullis.

History

Ironvoid began as an iron mine during the mid-Hylachian era. After vast deposits of ore were removed, the cavernous space was converted into a fortress, which was granted administrative control over the mountain pass between Hygalis and Nightvalley. It was abandoned after the Fall of Hylach, and then occupied by kobolds, and later, orcs.

Following the Taming of the Northlands, Galdrans occupied Nightvalley in 416 NE. Lord Grankell planned a campaign to invade Hygalis in 419 NE, and cleared Ironvoid to serve a base of operations. The invasion plans, however, were aborted following the coronation of King Galdric III in the same year.
