Gnolling in the Deep
25th day of the 4th month, the 168th year of the 5th age

We left Port Galliese two days ago. We made it to the river, after camping in a nice grotto. We reached a village called Riverbend that was, apparently, a little off the beaten path. We stayed the night in a tavern run by a Tabaxi named Tabitha. The village was attacked by gnolls, but we killed them pretty quickly. Nobody got hurt, and none of them got away. The construct worked great! He's performed so well. At this point I think he needs a name, because I don't think he's quite a prototype anymore. Rustle gave me an onion - don't really know what to do with that, since it'll go bad eventually. Maybe I'll use it to spice up dinner one night.   The mayor paid us a good chunk of money for our work - I'm not sure how much. He's also trying to find us a cart. I grabbed a flask, some cups, and a padlock and key at the general store. I need a bedroll. My neck still hurts from sleeping on my bag.   Rustle has a bit of trouble carrying stuff. Maybe I'll make him a bag of holding - but then I'd have to give up the enchantment on my shield. I've done a pretty good job not getting hurt, but I hate to see what happens if I do need to move the enchantment off the bag.

A New Fleece On Life
22nd day of the 4th month, 168th year of the 5th age

Went to the Lucky Traveler yesterday and met some people. We picked up a job north of the city today to find out why some sheep were disappearing. Found a weird gem full of dimensional magic (reversed conjuration magic) and also some goblins. We killed all the goblins and protected the farmer. We got a little bit of money, some wool, and some rations. We agreed to head out to Tarnon afterwards.   It's been a good day I think. I'm meeting everyone tomorrow morning so we can head out. Got an extra sturdy lock for the house ready. I think I'm going to bring the construct - it'll be a good field test of the magic. It's never left the shop before, so I'm excited to see how it holds up.   I grabbed Dad's old sword and shield on the way home. He was pretty pleased to see they were going to good use. He agreed to drop by my place to keep an eye on it, and I put up a sign directing my customers to him.
