Adral

Adral is a country with long history, a former empire that destroyed itself. Only a fraction of its former size and might it lies on the eastern side of the Thunder peaks with it's capital, Samatra, located at the foot of the mountains.   Adral was a land of magic, renowned for its electrum mines and its many magical innovations. The fabled, quiet and wealthy magocracy was justly depicted as full of wonder. Created by archwizards to combine their powers to reach new heights, Adral combined military force and technology with the magic powers of their most giftet wizards. Nearly all arcane casting Adralien were wizards, with one third of the total populace having some sort of magical powers.   The Empire spanned todays region of Morrton, Cintis and the Razorwood Forest. Adral's former capital, Messempar, was known for its incredible advances in magical and non-magical research aswell as a cultural stronghold. For these reasons, magicians, scholars and people seeking happiness and glory traveled to the ever-growing city.  

The Downfall

Drunk with power, greedy and obsessed with the belief that they were greater than the gods, the 5 leading Archwizards came together to fulfill their "destiny". With the help of five powerful artifacts, they succeeded in an elaborate ritual to open a portal to Celestia, bind the gods into the Prime material plane and to make them mortal.   But something went awry, the concentrated force discharged in a huge explosion and tore a hole into the fabric that separated the planes of existence from each other. From this crack poured creatures of all kinds that reduced the rest of the city to rubble. With them also came tendrils that grew at an incredible speed and began to cover everything. And the region became know as the Razorwood Forest.   After the loss of 3/4 of its territory, most of its knowledge and brightest minds Adral pulled back to try to recover. To this day they have not reached their glory days even close.
