Genetics and Reproduction
full blooded dragons hatch from giant eggs
their gestation period differs depending on their subrace:
winged dragons -10 years to a century, ryuu- at least 50 years
halfdragons such as dragonewts and sea serpents are usually at least twice as long as their other parents race
Growth Rate & Stages
full blooded dragons age at a rate that is closer to the divines.
half dragons when compared to other humanoid/mortal races are concidered to age at a rate that that is similar to elves (although a bit slower).
winged dragons are born without wings, and obtain them later in life. at which point similarly to birds they have to be taught to fly. they are capable of breathing fire a couple years after they hatch.
dragonewts are born without wings (they start to be able to appear after they learn magic).
Ryuu find it hard to learn how to fly as they dont have wings like the winged dragons and have to be able to detect and manipulate the air currents around them.
Biological Cycle
full blooded dragons will hibernate every few hundred years or so
upon reaching a certain age half dragons will gain stupendous amount of mana
Civilization and Culture
Relationship Ideals
dragons have one or two people that could be could be considered their soulmate, and when they meet that person they will stand by them for the rest of time.
depending on the dragons power level, they will be fine with there soulmate haveing multiple lovers, in some cases even encouraging it.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
they will look for their soulmate in other species as it is rarely the case that its another dragon.
