House Meropê (Meh Roe Pee)
House Meropê is the Triton family that control the Kingdom of Iá. A Great house of the Tritons, they moved with their people from the deep ocean floor to the seas of Estellia to form their own kingdom centuries ago.
Structure
Led by the Queen, the family is organised underneath her into her direct heirs and other members of the family. The oldest heir takes on the title of the Prince of Galcis, where they will rule in their time before they take the main throne.
Culture
Living lavishly and revered by their people, the family is adored by all despite their lack of care for the everyday cares of the people. They live in palaces, and rule with a strong smugness.
Public Agenda
To uphold their own rule, and to strengthen their control over their waters from land dwellers.
History
The family were once a subservient house to the deep lords, the original tritons at the bottom of the ocean. But they decided to leave with their people to form their own kingdom in the shallower waters in the seas around Estellia. Ever since they have controlled two seas of the continent, one in the north and one in the south.
