Strond

Strond is a large town on the shore of Glacial Lake. Owned by the Svanur Commonwealth, the town is almost exclusively a trading town reliant on the export of goods from Kaz Nardoth.

Demographics

Strond is one of the more multi-cultural settlements across the commonwealth, due to the many caravans and traders who live here when they are not travelling with their goods. Specifically there is a large community of Dwarves here, many of whom have been banished from The Halls of Kaz Nardoth.

Infrastructure

The town is half, built on the land around the lake, and half built over the lake using stilts. There are many shops here, and the price of things like metal, gems, and Dwarven built items is much lower when compared to other places on the continent. One might not find much in the way of magic or comforts, but physical trade is booming.

History

As The Halls of Kaz Nardoth exported more and more goods and materials, the Svanur Commonwealth wanted to take advantage of the movement of goods through their territory. People began to set up their homes and trading companies outside the dwarven kingdom, offering to transport their goods across the continent for a share of the profits. And so began this trading town's profitable history.
