Groheim Island
The island south of Irwis is not owned by either kingdom to its north (Holding or Wereskalot). It is wild, untamed and home to a few tribes of wild elves and many forest creatures that keep those tribes on the move. No cities call it home, the wild nature will not allow them to take hold, though there is one structure at the base of the volcano, a temple to a long-forgotten religion, or is the religion new and unknown? Few people travel to the island for nearly all are assimilated, or eliminated by the inhabitants.
There is a tunnel from the city of Vallantis in Wereskalot to the northeastern edge of the island. Few in town have ventured into the tunnel, but all know of it for it makes a faint whine during the night. The tunnel is believed to be haunted by those the island has taken and not given back alive. The tunnel is straight from the town to the island, staying underwater all the way which leads to speculation that it is flooded by those too afraid to enter.
Geography
This island is a tangle of wild forest surrounding the long-dead Weslet volcano. Trails of ancient lava flows can be found cutting through the forest like a road. The east and west ends of the island are broken land that won't grow plants of any kind.
