Sunblooms

Hûzhou Nadhǔdie, or more commonly known as Sunblooms, is a plant found primarily in Isteria and other tropical islands in the Múhava Seas. Sunblooms are a climbing vine, their slender tendrils reaching upward to bathe in the warm rays of the sun. The vines feature glossy leaves, varying in shades of deep emerald and golden hues, that shimmer as if kissed by sunlight itself. The vine blooms with delicate, trumpet-shaped flowers that burst forth in an array of vivid colors: fiery reds, radiant oranges, and vibrant yellows. Sunblooms have many remarkable properties and are an essential plant for the Kajuzurie's way of life.

Among its many remarkable properties, Sunblooms are most famous for their healing properties. The plant's nectar possesses potent medicinal qualities, capable of soothing ailments and mending wounds. When expertly harvested, the flowers' petals can be dried and ground into a fine powder that, when combined with other herbal ingredients, creates powerful remedies and stengthens potions.

The vines have properties that help prevent infection, so another common practice is to split the vines and weave them together to form bandages and wraps for wounds.

The Sunbloom blossoms are a cultural treasure—their petals possess a natural pigment that, when properly extracted, creates incredibly vibrant dyes. These dyes are highly valued by artists and clothiers, who incorporate them into tapestries, garments, and paintings, infusing their creations with the vivid hues of the tropical landscape. While not durable enough to provide a lot of utility, the vines are often woven into clothing accessories, baskets, jewelry pieces or other tokens of health and well-being.

Moreover, the Sunbloom Vine offers a unique culinary delight. The nectar of its flowers carries a subtle, sweet flavor that adds a touch of exoticism to various dishes. Skilled chefs and brewers use this delectable nectar as an ingredient in desserts, sauces, and specialty beverages, creating a taste that is both enchanting and unforgettable.

The Sunblooms utility and beauty make it an integral part of Isterian cultures. Its presence on these otherwise hostile islands provides sustenance, healing, and creative inspiration to those who rely upon it. Whether it is the tender touch of its healing remedies, the brilliance of its dyes, or the tantalizing flavors it imparts, Sunblooms have become an indispensable resource in the tapestry of life in the tropical isles.

Song of the Sunbloom
In tropic lands where sunlight gleams,
There blooms a flower in vibrant streams.
In hues of red, of orange, of gold,
The Sunblooms rise, their petals unfold.

In their nectar lies nature's sweet gift,
A balm for wounds, a spirit uplift.
With healing touch, they mend and restore,
Whispering secrets of life's hidden lore.

Oh, Sunblooms, enchanting, in breezes sway,
Blessing our lives in your vital way.
From healing touch to vibrant hue,
Reflecting the sun against the ocean blue.

In tropic lands where sunlight gleams,
The Sunblooms flower in vivid streams.
A testament to beauty, both bold and bright,
Forever a beacon of nature's delight.
