Winen & Solex
Winen and Solex are a god and goddess of the Fae that are nearly always spoken of and worshipped as a pair, although their companionship is strained to put it lightly.
Winen
Winen is a goddess of loners, of the quiet. She is often patronized by outcast fae, rangers, outlanders, wanderers and druids. While she is not directly tied to nature, she is often associated with it. She embodies the desire for freedom from social norms and pressures through independence and physical separation. Unlike many gods, Winen is not one to be sought after, as she is likely to kill any who break her peace.
Solex
Solex is a god of celebration, decadence and orgy. He often evokes polarizing opinions and is also known as a fool and god of youth and irresponsibility. Those who favor Solex however see him as a balance to a cruel world, a reminder to stop and smell the roses and enjoy life even if it is regretted the next morning.
The Prison of Union
Winen and Solex maintain similar philosophies that manifest quite differently. They have little regard for others, and as such when others have gotten in their way they've been dispatched without much thought. This struck a nerve with other pantheons when it was their patrons that had been snuffed without so much as a thought. So to maintain the peace, the other gods and goddess of the Feywild plane punished their own, by forcing Winen and Solex to marry.
This was an especially cruel unions, as Solex's desire for social decadence and wild partying directly conflicted with Winen's desire for peace and to remain alone and undisturbed. As the legends say they are caught in an endless cycle of a peaceful morning giving way to Solex's nightly celebrations only to have his libations later dosed by Winen ending his party prematurely.
Dual Worship
There are extremely few legends that speak of Solex or Winen before the union. As a result, Solex and Winen are typically worshipped as two sides of a single coin, or as polar manifestations fo a single philosophy. Some Fae see Solex and Winen as the embodiment of a dual nature or opposing desires within one's self. Winen and Solex are rarely worshipped outside of Fae patrons due to their tenuous relationship with other pantheons, but most Fae hold the pair is high regards, as representative of many aspects of the Fae themselves.
